Having long been a fan of Del Shores's work, I leaped at the opportunity to design his newest play about a supremely dysfuncitonal family of four women--a mother and her three daughters--who are all former gospel music stars. I grew up in a gospel singing family myself,  and goodness knows they were dysfunctional, so it felt like home to me. It was fun to build muu muus for Ditty, the mother, but my favorite (and everybody else's) was the silk chiffon print pantsuit.
