The Bus

New Conservatory Theatre Center, San Francisco CA, March 2013

The Bus is a play about two high school boys from a small religious town who fall in love and see each other in secret in an abandoned school bus at a gas station owned by one of the boy’s father. It was intended by NCTC to tour schools in the Bay Area and Central Valley after its performance run to educate youth about LGBT issues. I relished the chance to work on a project with a definite social agenda I could identify with. The most fun project was making the fake Texaco logo patches and distressing the work clothes, because I like making messes.
