Beaverquest! was my first official design in Los Angeles, for Sacred Fools Theater in Hollywood.  The show started as a series of shorts in their Serial Killers weekend lineup, and was so popular they made it into a full length musical. A trio of country girls narrate a tale of the forbidden romance between a pampered runaway Bunny and a shy, endangered Beaver, and the calamity that ensues when the local townsfolk get involved.  My biggest challenge was creating interesting, expressive animal costumes that weren’t zip-on fur pods, but my most fun project was deconstructing a donated wedding dress for the Spirit of the Forest.
