These masks were just a small part of a very large musical When Pigs Fly that I co-designed, but this particular song was re-written by the author with an entirely new theme and lyrics just for our production, so the costumes I designed will set the tone for future productions. Therefore I put extra effort into conceiving and fabricating three queer superhero costumes, each based on a different queer pride flag. There's the disco dancing Monster done in the flag of the leather community, the Furry-esque Beast in the green, white, and purple of the Genderqueer flag, and of course the shining Diva draped in the well-know gay rainbow.
