Avenue Q

I’ve loved Avenue Q since a friend gave me the original cast album when the show first came out. I basically begged NCTC to let me design their production of it. Thankfully they acquiesced. I keep the look of the characters similar to the standard production, making some updates to color scheme and silhouette, and designing a beautiful kimono-style wedding dress covereing with twinkling lights. I also got to costume a few of the puppets, which is always fun. The show turned out to be hugely popular, selling out its original run and extension, and has been brought back three more seasons for sellout runs, with a fifth coming soon.
