As the Costume Workroom Manager at SF Ballet it falls upon me to supervise the building of individual costumes for four main reasons: a pre-existing costume needs to be copied in another size, an old costume needs to be rebuilt,  a piece needs to be made from scratch in imitation of another existing design, or a brand-new piece needs to be built from a designer's or choreographer's vision.
